Toronto Star music writer Ben Rayner thinks that Kiesza’s “Hideaway” might be the song of the summer. If there was any justice in the world, he’d be right because this is a fantastic song that can be best described as ’90 house music nostalgia done right. It’s catchy, upbeat and both familiar and fresh.
Sadly, it’s probably a bit too—weird? different? dance-y?—to become the song of the summer of 2014 but hey, here’s hoping that I’m wrong about that.
