This summer’s concert calendar just keeps getting more and more crowded. Earlier this week, Massey Hall announced the next two instalments of its new Live at Massey Hall series. On Tuesday, July 8, the historic venue will host a double-bill of Great Lake Swimmers and The Rural Alberta Advantage. Then, two days later on July 10, there’s another double-bill, this time with Basia Bulat and Destroyer.
The public sale starts today at noon and just like with the first two shows, tickets for these latest two are $18.94 (the year Massey Hall opened). And yep, that price applies to all of the seats at Massey Hall so if you want to check out either of these shows, buy your tickets ASAP for the best seat selection.
Ah, sweet, practical seats; a place to sit, to rest between acts or at least somewhere where you can throw your coat and bag.
I will be checking out both of these shows and not just because I work for Massey Hall. I enjoy all four of these artists and have seen two of them – Rural Alberta Advantage and Basia Bulat – before. Both of those performances were some years ago and I’m curious to see how these acts have evolved and grown over the past few years.
